The half wall was the first thing guests could see when they walked in the door. Also, you could see over the wall to the down stairway. Probably not good feng shui!

Plain Foyer gets a makeover

Before the makeover, the front foyer was bland and not inviting. There was no place for guests to sit to remove wet boots.

Client had painted basement Family Room walls a vibrant orange to brighten and "warm" up the basement space. She wanted a "Mid-Century Modern" look, but her previous furnishings were a hodgepodge of styles. A large southwestern sunflower painting, oriental patterned area rug, and greenish-colored upholstered ottoman don't work together.

The homeowner purchased copper cabinet pulls to tie into the breakfast bar.

The homeowner wanted to minimize the brown wood in her kitchen. The floor, cabinets, and ceiling were all brown wood. She asked NBI to help brighten the kitchen and break up the wood tones. Since the cabinets were in good condition, NBI suggested painting the cabinets.

Master bedroom-after refresh

The homeowners engaged NBI to do a refresh of their condo. In this room, everything remained the same except for the bedding. However, selecting bedding that coordinated with the artwork and bed style made all the difference visually. The pattern on the bedcover even matched the metalwork on the headboard!
